Default Overheating message appeared on the display

Good morning,
My defender 3.0 DIESEL is at the dealership. unfortunately I had to call the tow truck after a red engine overheating message appeared on the display asking me to stop and turn off the engine.
In the workshop they found a faulty radiator hose, in practice it lost a lot of water, but not all of it.
The dealership says there is no damage to the engine. What do you think about it? Could it have damaged something? I stopped immediately as soon as I saw the overheating light on.
Greetings

The engine should be fine. What was wrong with the radiator hose? How many miles or kms do you have on your Defender? It is rare to have a faulty radiator hose.
