P300 engine break-in protocol?

I read this with some interest. I had asked my sales rep if there was an electronic version of the owner's manual I could download. Unfortunately what he sent me to was actually a PDF of the brochure. I kind of wanted to glance through it before I picked up the truck and drove it the 150 miles home looking like a complete fool with the emergency lights flashing or some other indications of idiocy. The iGuide has been quoted here and it was with delight that I went over to the app store to get it. Well I get a message, "App not available in your region." That was disappointing. There are difference in spelling and actual words between UK and US english, so much so that my original Series IIa had a glossary of terms supplement. So am I missing something in looking for this app, perhaps if I used the Welsh spelling?

well it obviously is as that’s where the link came from and to test it I installed it on another iOS device just now.
having said that, you’re using a Mac which probably explain the error. Try the link on your phone, assuming its an iPhone. The link does work.
As an aside, many iOS apps WILL run on a Mac, but it has to be the latest generation using an M1 processor (Apple silicon)

All- in regard to running-in your vehicle I would not worry as long as you remember the following:
1) Do not start a cold engine and accelerate hard from a stop. Give your engine 20 seconds to circulate oil throughly on cold mornings (below 0C) and drive gently.
2) Do not use hard throttle until the oil temperature comes all the way up. Not the coolant temperature- but the OIL temperature. Don't know when that is? Wait a minimum of 15 minutes before you try to evade the fuzz or tow something heavy.
3) Varying engine speeds and loads is good for engine break-in/run-in.
4) Most press cars have zero break in period. Magazines and Youtubers (like TFL) start thrashing them out of the gate. They hold up fine- we expect it. However, for proper long-term engine life and to avoid rare issues- be nice to the car for the first 1,500 miles.
