The stock unfinished calipers on my 23 black/black/black 110 Dynamic X are starting to look real shabby so I’ve decided to get all four powder coated next week when i have some time to leave the car at the paint shop. I originally wanted the X oem ‘orange’ (really, looks like an dark orange red) but have had the hardest time finding the right color match for the shop to order powder for so went for something that I felt was sort of close in the darker red family instead. Pretty classic without being too sporty was my intent.
Now I’m starting to second guess and thinking red is too played out - prob over thinking it
but I have the next few days to figure this out before car goes in next Tuesday!
If any of you have your calipers painted, oem/dealer add or after market, it would be GREAT to see pics of peoples full vehicle so I can see your options! Pic attached of current configuration.
If you are already going for the murdered out look for your Defender why not gloss black calipers. Any other color will stand out like a sore thumb. What look are you going for. You are already past the sorta murdered out look.

I second this. Red is very played out, and picking another contrasting color would need a reason. Black calipers are clean and understated.
Funny, I was looking at my red (L'Orange technically) calipers today and think they look pretty slick. What does look like garbage now on mine though are the brake rotors, which have taken a quick cosmetic turn for the worse this winter here in Oregon.
