Park button
That's never happened to me. I do sometimes just hit the start/stop button, which puts it into park and shuts it down, but I've never had it shut down when I hit park.
Are you sure you're not just noticing your auto stop/start function?

The auto stop kicks in and shuts the car down. I am not a fan of the auto stop so I turn it off each time I start the car. As I have noted before I bought the GAP to program the car, but the reprogram for that doesn't work on the early P400. Still hoping for a workaround.
I think it has something to do with .... If your seat belt is off, and the door is open, and auto start stop is on, I think it's a feature that it just turns itself off so you dont also have to hit the start top button? I seem to remember reading about this... ?
I'm probably totally wrong about the sequence, but there is some scenario by which you dont have to hit the stop button when getting out of the car, just Park. (and the motor turns off and you just get out and lock the car)

Hello. This is what it happening to me (P400e):
I arrive home, I press P, I unlock seat belt, I open door and I drop off from the veichle. The Defender auto switch off.
I think that it is a useless feature. Why? Because If I have to just open the garage door I have to restart the Defender. Useless when I am off-road and, for any reason, I have to get out from the car to check something outside.
I cannot understand why they have added such a kind of "feature". Can I add an additional useless one? The "auto log" for the trip automatically reset itself if the auto switch off from Itself...

There is a reason for the sequence. If the start stop is active (and the engine is currently stopped) then you could get out, think it's off, and it jumps back to lift to run the AC.
However it seems to be sequence dependent. I believe if you first unbuckle your belt, then hit park it won't turn off when you get out of the car.
