Had the same issue when installing the rear tow hooks, connecter was disconnected.

@Huc Is this the red box you said you had when there was a disconnected parking sensor?

 

Yes. The image on the left is exactly what I saw when I had two sensors disconnected in rear bumper.

Just got my left rear most outward parking sensor replaced and that indeed fixed the problem. The dealer was able to see that the sensor was bad when he plugged into diagnostics. Btw, prior to installing the sensor, it must first be painted to match whatever style/color bumper you have. The dealer will take care of that though. Just wanted to mention that they don’t come colored when you order them.
