Default likely a disconnected parking sensor in rear bumper

I had the same experience after having the rear bumper removed and reinstalled to address relocating trailer wiring plug locations (my hitch was factory installed but I disliked the locations of the wiring connections). The tech failed to correctly plug in the parking sensors when refitting the bumper assembly. Mis-connected sensors threw the same "red zone of danger" display as you noted.

Removing the rear bumper and reconnecting the sensors properly immediately corrected the problem. One would think only the specific mis-connected/disconnected or faulty sensor(s) would display red on screen describing their location but that's not the case. If one's out - the 'red square of danger' appears :-(

Perhaps others have seen the issue with an easier fix as the labour is a PITA.

Nope, guys. When you are actively towing the rear parking and colisi9n detection are turned off.

It's possible to wire it wrong and then it always thinks you have a trailer attached, so they are alwaga disabled. I had aux signals installed on the rear bumper and it caused this. Disconnecting the wire connected (they used the 4 pin) gives that back.

True: I've never had the "all red zone" light up on pivi when backing my trailer. In fact there's a blip vert on the pivi screen requiring confirmation of that general condition when I start up to drive off every time. I can't recall the specific language but it describes how the rear sensors are obviously shut off and warnings disabled every time I hookup the trailer and start driving. It's clearly smacks of a legal CYA thing. Such is the litigious world we live in

However, I did have the "all red zone" light up as generally described in original post and my first reply: after removal / reinstallation of bumper It was visually confirmed to be 100% a disconnected sensor causing the error. Reconnecting removed the red screen error.

It's definitely an error in the installation, I'm sure you know this.

Did a dealer do it? Or was this a home install? Take it straight back if dealer...
And is it the genuine LR kit ? (I don't even know if there are aftermarket wiring kits for L663, although I'd imagine so by now)
And are you in the US / NAS market? I do believe there are different modules for UK / EU market than the NAS market, and if you perhaps put the wrong one round in it (ie from an ebay purchase etc) -- it could cause an issue or complicate matters...
