Has this issue and the “sifting sand” sound been fixed in 2023 models?

A-pillar trim in our 2023 has been quiet at any speed. 2021 trim was quiet after I packed it with window insulation foam.

I can vouch for the insulation foam solution for the "sifting sand" noise. Did that to my 2020 and it has been whisper-quiet since. I dare to say this was the same solution LR used at the factory.

I'll find out what is under the 2023 A-pillar soon as mine needs a new windshield.

Or don't it yourself.

Dealer will replace with new parts and paint them at no charge. Although it says "renew" I saw my old trim bits in a box after it was done. Either they're refurbing those or the verbage on the invoice is off.

Nice while it lasted until it flew off on the highway today and hit the truck behind me.

Luckily the guy had been hit by a few things before if you know what I mean.

Beat the hell out of my door and mirror before it came off.

Yup exactly what is happening with mine now. They said they were painting my replacement pillar yesterday and would have it back to normal today.

Picked mine up today and all is basically well. One problem they ran into is they don't have the factory wrap available at the dealer and need to put in back on the one painted part at the bottom of the a-pillar. Can't believe they haven't run into that by now, but I guess the wrapped vehicles are less common.

They gave me the car back while they figure out how to address the wrap issue.

Honestly comparing the painted wrap vs no wrap is hard to notice even up close. They are very close in shade & color, the non wrap section is just more glossy.
