Our update and car play work on the iPhone that has not been updated to the new iPhone software. The one we did has been sporadic. May be related to the huge security changes made in the iPhone bios updates.

My Defender downloaded the update this afternoon. I was returning from getting the windows tinted and there was a notice that the update had downloaded. I then followed the instructions in the notification for the install. Basically make sure all the windows are closed and the truck locked and give it 45 minutes. 1.5 hours later (being careful) it was installed! Everything is working, so far.

for reference - I picked up the Defender a couple of weeks ago and have about 500 miles on it.

I'm also still waiting (on 3.2.1 as pictured)

What seems odd is I took US delivery on Sep 21 from dealer - and still no prompt to update - yet I see it here' in forum it appears to be a Mid/Late Aug update to 3.3.0.

Since this is all new to me I spent some time reviewing print and online docs, this forum, in vehicle screen, and I can't find any way to request/force an update. I've confirmed the vehicle has a positive connection to my home Wi-Fi.

I understand the need for phased software updates to manage server loads. I'm just confused as to the logical process as to getting updates in a timely fashion. I'd have imagine the dealer would have "forced" an update before I took delivery given 3.3.0 was already out.

Any brain waves or reading references on the subject are appreciated. I'm always keep to do some digging and increase my understanding.

I had the same condition when taking delivery late September. Then an update ran automatically but only to 3.2.1 (details in my other post herein)

On the surface it appears the over the air update process is random at best.

Time for a new phone and looking for input on if Android phones play nice with the charging pad and Pivi Pro 3.3.0. I've always had Apple products but I am considering switching to an Android phone. I saw some issues earlier on in other threads about charging issues with Iphone 12's but not much posted good or bad about Android stuff. Does Android Auto work well on the Pivi Pro? I have had some connection dropout issues with Car play in the past. Let me know what your Android experiences have been. Thanks!

Whelp yesterday I got in the car and saw a little blue dot on my profile and tapped it and lo and behold it said my software update was ready to be installed. When I got back to the house to start the process after running an errand, the update had disappeared. Super disappointing!
