Howdy, LR4 and L4o5 Owner here who's to soon be driving a "standard" Octa (6/27 delivery). Let's connect. I am part of the PCRC and helping curate a local group in Central OR. Hit me up. (Vince...)
Vince ! My Man! I sat next to you at the skills course in Bend last year -- I had the New Defender w/ the winch. Was talking to the West Coast Overland crew about you this weekend, can’t wait for you to GET THAT OCTA ! See you soon.
Hello from one new Defender PNW (WA Snohomish county) owner. While I'm **** scared to do some rougher roads with a new car (and no really experience) I'll definitely try to push myself as the car is definitely capable.
Last weekend did some mild testing over Green Mountain road, near Granite Falls. Some wildfire smoke haziness but not too bad views.
Anyone have a trip coming up? Can come up from the Bend area. I can get away Friday-Monday most weeks. What’s the best place (specific Facebook group or LR Club) to meet up?

Looking good man.
I've been up the Green Mountain road (the one off the Suiattle River road) some years back. I wasn't in a Defender and it was a bit dicey. Had to stop and remove my roof box to sneak under a fallen tree.
We camped at Roaring creek in the Suittale river valley and I had a look at the Green Mountain Lookout. It's a fun hike. Some great spots to explore up there. Maybe it's a different green mountain.
WRT trail-fun and wheeling, we're all just plodding along, learning as we go, and having some craic in the process.
We've had two summer trips this year.
Naches trail was a real challenge. Very narrow and technical.
Hawkins Mountain. One of my favorite trails and areas to camp. It's wild.
I'm hopeful we can get another one in before the snows. Eyeballing some parts of the WABDR route. Some parts look like fun.
These are a few shots from those trips. More in the Defenders in the Wild thread.
Usually there are 3 to 5 of us. It's a good number to wheel with. Portland and Seattle area. The focus is on the fun. As it should be. #safetythird.

Yeah I think we have least few Green mountains in this State, the one with the lookout is somewhere south of Rainier I think.
And great pics man!
