Default Prototype Defender V8 For Sale

I was just browsing copart (UK) and I found this: https://www.copart.co.uk/lot/7073916...otton-services , what appears to be a Defender 90 V8 Prototype.
What makes me think this is a prototype (view images in the above link; having trouble attaching):
- Silver trim (not availiable on any V8's)
- 3d scanner dots placed over the car
- Green tape on wheels
- Spare wheel is the signature, generic prototype wheel (visible on OY70 TYC)
- Landrover logo taped over
- Missing centre caps
You get what I mean??

It is a CAT B, thus can't be put back on the road, but it would be cool if some UK based youtuber went out to see it and make a video on it. Maybe PowerfulUK?

Is the Dunsfold Land Rover Trust still a thing? I was a contributor back in the day, and was lucky enough to tour their collection once in 1997. This is exactly the kind of vehicle they'd get hold of and keep.

Wow, that is so cool! I hadn't even taken the time to Google it, and now I'm amazed by what they're doing. When I visited, it was because I was in London and I just decided to find the phone number and call. Brian Bashall met me and my wife at the train station, took us to lunch, and then gave us tours of their various storage buildings and the Land Rovers therein. It was incredible.

I've been thinking about becoming a donor and donating in the name of my LR club I help run. I'll actually be in London over Thanksgiving, but unfortunately I won't have any time to get down there. I've always wanted to see it, and it's right down the street from the Top Gear Test Track, also a place I'd just like to visit since Top Gear was my favorite show growing up. If only I would've thought about it when I was there last year for Goodwood. Always next time, though!
