Default Purchase questions

Hi All. I’m working on an order for a 110 Carpathian V8. The dealer told me they cannot order the fixed side steps from LR and the steps are now a dealer installed option for 2,300 rather than the 1,800 on the LR website?

the second question has to do with the prepaid maintenance plans for oil and brake services. This dealer does not sell the prepaid service plans.

My thought is that both of these issues are just the dealer trying to charge more ???

I would appreciate any input from the group on these questions.

Thank you

Buy the side steps online and fit them yourself, or get your local garage to fit them. You'll save a fortune.
JLR wanted around US $1600 to fit side steps to my 90.
l bought the steps online for around US $250 and fitted them myself. The steps were from Powerful U.K. and were the same as the Land Rover OE.
l am sure there are companies in your country selling aftermarket side steps.

Do you have another dealer you can get a quote from? We have two LR dealers within 30 miles of each other. Makes it easier to shop around.

I don't buy that. I have a Carpathian V8 with side steps ordered as an option. I had them painted to match the black on the vehicle and I love them.

Don't buy what, fitting them yourself? l guess it depends whether you're okay to pay the dealer tech rates and parts prices.

Many owners won't want the hassle of buying the steps themselves and a third party garage to fit them and l understand that.

But if you can do it yourself you'll save a heap of cash which you could spend on other accessories.
