Interesting lift. I think I saw their promo photo in a safety video one time. Stacked 4x?!

The transverse lifts (used in most shops I think?) place 4 points loads within the monocoque structures fore and aft -- through the approved lift points.
JLR is trying to keep us away from hanging the entire weight of the vehicle from anything other than the four lift points.

Yes, those four wheel changing jacking points are also supported for lifting the vehicle within the manual.
Basically, there are eight approved points to place point loads on the vehicle. Vertical lift loads are not "allowed" elsewhere than those eight points.
I was forced to look into the heavier duty points because my rock crawlers cover the four wheel changing jacking points and I wanted to confirm a suitable alternative.

Would you mind to share which model of Quickjack you use? Apart from the max load, they fall in either 60" or 66" between supporting points. Do you have to use the longer one on your Defender? Thanks for your help in advance.
