Rear Diff Replacement
Folks,
In a previous posting I chronicled the dreaded "clunking" sound from the rear diff of my 2020 2.0. With great guidance from here, after two fluid flushes, lots of back-and-forth with the dealer, and then waiting for the part to arrive from the UK it's being replaced under warranty.
For anyone who has done this before, I'm curious what else gets replaced at the same time? Clearly the diff fluid will be new, but given the magnitude of the job what else will come up on the recipt (or I need to look out for)?
Thanks!

Glad you are getting it covered under warranty. The dealer will be able to tell you exactly what is involved as they will be submitting the claim to LR.

Had mine replaced under warranty too. The tech told me there was a lot of metal shavings in the fluid. I asked to see the internals so I could take pictures for the group but was denied access to the parts. Now it’s in for a seat track replacement after it stopped working and I asked to check the front differential just in case there is metal in there too.
Front runner mounts are what I am using. Saltek made the bracket to be able to use them. I hope he makes some Jerry can mounts for us I think they would be better than the front runners. The bracket is easy to get on and off only about a 1/2 hour job each way. On or off.
