would the colored lights turn on when your use your turning signals or just when hazards are on?

I would think it’s the same signal. I tested both hazards and turning signal — neither worked.

No, I haven’t tried it yet with gray. I was just thinking that turn signal or hazard should be the same signal.

I already connected per the PowerfulUk diagram and it didn’t work. Going to try gray tomorrow.

Both hazards and turn signals work off the gray wire. I think it's because the NA spec has the indicator using the red brake lights, so brake/indicator/hazards all piggy back off the gray wire. As such I recommend getting the white/red combo if you want the indicators too and prefer all the lights to be uniform.

I do think brake lights in the US have to be red by law. I don't think having a couple small amber lights in addition to all the red lights will cause any trouble, but it's good to know all the risks.

I agree with this take.

I finished connecting to gray today and they work perfectly. Because brake lights and indicators are on the same wire, this also adds additional brake lights. I don’t think that’s a bad thing but one should be aware it’s not possible to wire *just* the blinker/indicator.

Here’s a short video for reference testing before I fully attached them.

so just the colored lights are flashing while braking and signaling? if you get red and white lights it works

I have a new set of the gen 2 reverse lights with amber turn signals integrated (in the box). id like to sell if anyone is interested. Sold my defender and the lights came about a month after it left my garage...took 2-3 months for delivery of the lights. These are about $120, shoot me a reasonable offer and i can send them off.
