Default Sad Sunroof

I picked up my '22 Defender 110SE on September 12, 2021 and the Sunroof has stopped working. Buttons to open it do not function. Doug DeMuro reported his sunroof broke, too. I did not want the sunroof but the 110 P400 is not available without it. I had one in my Jeep and it was nothing but trouble. I asked if I could order a 110SE with sunroof delete -- no. Of course the salesman told me not to worry. I figure some OEM supplier sells them to JLR (and others) at a low price and are a profit bonanza. They look cool in brochures and on the showroom floor, then they don't work.

The earliest service appointment I could get was six weeks out.

Did you try the reset?

Hold the up button for at least 30 seconds and it should start to move, then hold it through a full open/close cycle. Worked for me..

Does the sun blind work? If it does, try closing it all the way (keep pushing the blind close button until it's completely shut), then open/retract it all the way. Try operating the sunroof again. Fingers crossed.

Maybe he lives near me. It was almost two months for me to get one for some accessory installs.

That sucks, you no longer can order without a sunroof. When I order mine, I made it a point not to get a sunroof. They are great but I don't want shatter glass if something hits it, plus when you have a rack on top it covers it up.

Here in the Seattle, one dealer in Bellevue lost 3 techs in 6 weeks, and at the end of Sept were booking for Nov. I ended up taking it to the Seattle dealer and they told me that they have lost 4 techs too but they have many more people working. 3 of the techs went to Ford and 1 moved to Texas. They are now booking towards the middle of Nov. I was in for a warranty issue.
