Anyone else get the notice for the recall on the seat belt tensioners being potentially damaged?
Safety Recall N720: Damaged Seatbelt Pretensioners. NHTSA Recall 22V-523.

Wondering how extensive the work is and what kinds of supply chain problems I can inevitably expect?

 

I think seat belt tensioners are a common recall item across the board. My mom's 2017 Volvo XC60 had this issue when she bought it back in early 2020. She got it used, and this recall and lack of correction from Volvo prevented it from becoming a CPO. It resulted in a great deal for an otherwise super low mile, well-maintained car.

 

i didn't get anything yet. Barely took delivery of my '23 two months ago. Should I inquire or wait to hear if I get it?

 

That specific recall (22V-523) only affects Defenders produced between 22nd December 2021 and 29th March 2022.

 

Mine was one of the first 23s to make it to the states so it slid in this batch...

 

Thats possible. I had an August build date on my 23, delivered in November. I was just at the Dealer for my USB recall campaign, and there was no mention of this recall. 0 recalls pull through on the NHTSA website via VIN for me either.
