Default Shift ****

Does anyone know where I can find the instructions for replacing the shift **** and starter button? I bought crystal ones but they didn't come with anything.

l assume it isn't a genuine Land Rover part.

You're probably on your own with that, but it must be possible. Can you work it out by looking at the crystal one to see how it's attached?

I would think they probably just pop out, using a plastic tool like the one used for trim removal. You can buy trim removal kits at Amazon and they are very inexpensive.

No, definitely not a genuine LR part. It just looks nice and matches the crystal switchgear in my other car. I do have a few trim removal tools but was hoping to see something in the way of a repair manual perhaps. Didn't want to put too much force and start breaking clips or scratching the leather on the sides.

Crystal right. If you were from Sedona, I would say to put them under the pyramid you would keep on your table and then all suddenly come to you in a vision.

This video might give you enough hints given you've done one on another vehicle. Looks like double sided tape, a screw, and one electrical connector. I have no idea if this is the same unit you have but it appears to be the same or similar. EDIT (forgot to add): As for the starter button my guess would be that's just a push on piece over existing button but that's purely a guess

Thanks for the video! Looks more complicated than what I thought. I like the original better personally.

Good luck to anyone considering this. Looks a little more destructive in its installation, lots of prying leading to chance of scuffs and scratches. And from prior experience and reviews, I tend to avoid these Alibaba and Aliexpress knockoff companies. More complaints and difficulty returning than I want to risk. And like other posters, I like my current shift handle. Post some after-installation pics for comparison.

Yes, I did get it from Aliexpress. The video posted above was the only one I could find. As I was prying to get the piece with the P R N D off, it was taking more force than I'd like. Also didn't want to slip and scratch the sides.
