Quote: I just want a bright red Defender. Not candy apple red, not the sedona red that looks like its the official color of a box of Geritrol - Firehouse red.

Hell, Lime Green, Bright blue/purple/yellow. Fun colors you know? Not the shades of colors that they paint nursing home walls with.
I'm with you. That's why I sucked it up and purchased 2023 CPO 75th anniversary model when less than 10k more, I can get exact spec'd 2025 I can order. I wanted nicer fun bright outdoor color for my defender.

Lol
Agreed. I like obvious colors. (full disclosure, I'm told often I have no taste/poor taste. )
Love it. Geritol Red.

Silicon was my plan, but when it was gone got Gondwana Stone. Looks nice in X-D trim (didn't get the extended-quick-to-be-roughed-up extended black). This color is close to the mettalic gold of my first ever car - 1985 Honda Civic Wagon (bought in 1990 with 57,000 miles). As close as I could get to a much-desired Defender for $5,700. 5-speed on the floor - such a fun car. Even had the Defender's safari rear windows. Ironically, there's a recent youtube where Honda had a "new" 40 year old wagon they commissioned for a cross country trip to the Honda museum in CA. They had a blast. Drove it over the same CO passes I did in 1990. The chanel often reviews the new Defender, so cool to see their take. 76 hp 5-speed!

And correction, they had a 1984 (in a weird sand color). Sorry for the off-topic take, but it's sort of where I began with LR even though it was a Honda.
