I think engine choice or often lack of choice relates more to the build constraints than personal preference.

As soon as you start adding a few bells and whistles to the 110 you're into SE territory and that forces the 6 cyl 3L engine

I wanted 2.0L but we had to have a third row so the SE is what we built.

The factory and LR builds more 3.0L spec'd 110's as it knows this metric.

The tail wags the dog and more p400/D300s are sold.

I don't tow and when I tested the 4 vs the 6 back to back, I didn't feel like I was giving anything up getting the 4. I look at it as 'this is my truck' when I want more 'spirited' driving, I drive my other car. Yes, I know, first world problem!
We also drove both the 4 and 6 cylinder rigs a few days apart, both were great. We opted for the 6 cylinder as a major reason for the rig is to tow the new trailer @ +/- 5500 pounds. The extra oomph should helpful towing on and off-road here in the thin Colorado air But the 4 cylinder was a great ride and felt like it had plenty of get up and go! With the 4 door Def110 it means my wife can now replace her 5 door Macan GTS with a 2 door Boxster. If we really need some 'giddy up' there are always the motorcycles in the garage - ugh - again - yeah - first world problems indeed!

Like minds!

The 90 is replacing my Macan GTS and my other car is a C4S cab. Prior to the C4S, I've owned two Boxster S's and they are amazing cars.

Seems like a good combo! My P400 110 goes with a Cayman GT4.
