Looks like they've been spray painted. I wonder if they scratch the first time you put a socket on them?

They look exactly like the lugs of my old LR4, I wish I still had that car so I could compare them to make sure they are the same pitch, width, length, etc. Can't tell for sure on the various web sites I've visited. If that's the case, I would without hesitation recommend Gorilla nuts (easily available on eBay) which I had for years on my LR4, better quality than the OEMs and could take a beating - meaning an impact wrench from a tire shop - without any stress, chipping, flaking or discoloration.

Thanks for the link. I had looked at Gorrilla version, wasn't exactly sure what size to get. Looks like I'm going that route.

Does anyone know what the thread and bolt sizing is like? M

I just picked up some Evo Course DakarZeros and need to go with some extended thread lug nuts. Just want to make sure that they are the right thread!

Umberto, they are exactly the same lug nuts as the LR4. Like you, I got tired of the twisted lug nut caps and bought a set of Gorilla lug nuts for the LR4. I kept the old LR4 lug nuts and used 4 of them when installing the winter tires on the Defender. I replaced the 4 locking Defender lug nuts with LR4 lug nuts. Getting a flat in winter is bad enough without trying to line-up the wheel lock key with freezing hands. Or worse yet dropping the wheel lock key into a pile of snow.

Looks good. Which model did you choose? Defender isn't listed.
