Indeed it is a beauty! But cutting the fender..... yikes - that's a commitment !
If you're not drilling 4" holes in your Defender, is it even a Defender?
Bloody hell, the pucker factor would be off the charts. I had a tough time taking a 3/4" hole saw to my trim shortly after buying. I think I'd need a few pints of liquid courage in me before installing this puppy.
It's a must have in much of Australia. They'll sell out fast there I reckon.
It's a shame LR doesn't offer an OEM snorkel. Such a glaring omission for a company's flagship off-road vehicle. Lots of OEM 22" rim choices though. Sigh.
The current oem raised air intake has been tempting but I also can’t help but think it looks a bit awkward when I see it in person
I agree, it definitely takes away from the lines of the Defender. Besides, I think it’s just eye candy for most dreamers. I would venture to say that only a small percentage of those snorkels would actually serve any function other than looks and cladding for poseurs. But spend away, the economy needs it.

The OEM snorkel is for posers? What a dumb thing to say.
Snorkel, raised air intake, whatever you wanna call it ...I think the oem looks good. Much better than that ugly bravo thing in the op.
I guess I'm part of the poser / riff-raff crew.
I also think the OEM RAI looks good, just completely pointless for most.
I'm skeptical the Bravo snorkel is real. Seems to be in development and the pictures are photoshopped design ideas. The NDM snorkel seems to be a very robust design. Fully sealed to the airbox.
My application for riff-raff membership was rejected.
The other weekend had me thinking about snorkels again. Seems like all is legit on the Bravo Snorkel in spite of their photoshopping. It ships from Europe for about $500 all in. Fully sealed to the airbox.
I want to find out more about what other factors limit the wading depth. Diff breathers etc. I do think it would be a half decent insurance policy in water that's flowing a bit. Not sure if I'll get one. Install doesn't seem too onerous a task.
I think I'm at about 30" here. Plenty of room to spare with a bow-wave.
