Default Software update woes

my wife's D110 First Ed. 400 did a software update to the PIVI system and now no longer had media (no am/m/Sirius) and when the media button is touched, the menu says "not provided". LR customer service has been called and they have no idea what happened. My dealer not open this weekend for service...any one else have this issue?

Try a reset? Hold down the power button for 20-25 seconds, until it restarts. Seems to help some people.

Did it log you out of your InControl account on the dash when the software updated? It happened to me this morning and I just happened to notice it. Works great now 👌🏼

As the other poster said in this thread, push the power button and hold it until the system resets. You may have to do this more than once. You will know it reset when you see the Land Rover logo on the screen.

The whole Pivi Pro system is incredibly glitchy and prone to not working. I sometimes have to reset mine several times a week which is incredibly annoying. I have installed several software updates and none of them have fixed these issues.

The Media button is probably the worst offender. Spotify, Deezer and Tune In are often missing and require a reset to force them to reload. Simply driving for a while does not seem to enable them to reload.

Before another poster suggested the hard reset, I contacted Land Rover corporate. Nice guy but had no idea. He sent the issue to an engineering team in the UK and nothing. It seems they are probably getting a lot of complaints, but have no idea how to address them.

Really like my new Defender, but this is a major miss. To have no idea how to correct is an even bigger miss.

Don’t bother with taking this issue to your dealer. I’ve had the same response as others: “A software update will fix it”. That’s dealer speak for “we have no idea what you are talking about and we have our money from you. Next customer.”

Dealers are a joke I’ve owned my p400 since Dec 31st after all issues listed on this forum I will be returning mine tomorrow. They all have excuses and will just tell you what ever to get you out and the next person they can bull**** in. While telling you everything you read on these forums is wrong. My most recent issue while waiting to get all these software issues sorted was installing the hidden which which I might add is held together by double sided sticky tape. It sounded like I had a trash bag stuck to the front of my car for the two hour drive home. I’m seriously done with the excuses and all there the forums are just lies BS its lack of knowledge or there work ethic of just checking in and out. They also told me the roll up windows feature is illegal in the US but option is still available in the car if I want every thing in my car stolen while not near it. It’s so illegal my Telsa will do it as i walk away touching any button because it just works as advertised.

by gut is this car will have nothings but issues till every one sits down and address these common issues so many of us are having which could be a while knowing how big cooperations work.

Just flapping in the wind like garbage stuck to your front bumpers. Garage that will cost you 9k

Default 2024 Defender 110S Infotainment unit - is a joke

I purchased a 2024 Defender110S in January 2024
almost immediately the Infotainment unit screen went blank
i took the vehicle into the dealer, and they said I should just turn off the engine, step out of the vehicle, lock it, unlock it, get in, press the radio on/off button for 30 seconds and it would be fixed…
SO THEY KNEW THERE WAS AN ISSUE BEFORE THEY SOLD ME THE VEHICLE

That is called MISREPRESENTATION

the vehicle spent most of the last 4 months having the Infotainment unit replaced
on the last occasion, I returned the Defender to the dealer, got a refund against another 2024 Defender, and, you guessed it!!
same issue 900 km in
so I returned the Defender to the dealer last week and told them I want a refund
i can’t understand why you are all sitting on your hands and allowing Landrover to treat you this way
most of the last 5 months have been spent taking the vehicle back and forth to the dealer
they are clueless
landrover have purchased a system that doesn’t work
And my time , like yours is money
take your vehicles back to your dealers
demand refunds
the vehicles I purchased are not

Clearly this is your first (and last) Land Rover. You simply don't appreciate the amazing capability and adventure that these vehicles provide. Blank screens, mystery muted volume, missing XM radio, carplay that may or may not link, steering wheel buttons that sometimes work are all part of the fun that gives these vehicles personality. It would be boring if the infotainment system was the same every day. For you, I recommend a transportation appliance from Lexus.
