Stuck in PiviPro 3.3.2... Not Updating

You are very likely 110% correct - I forgot about those. (T-Mo and AT&T all have their own managed wifi networks around too). And yes - Wireless CarPlay does use WiFi - the vehicle has to be wifi hotspot capable (even if you ordered yours without the hotspot, it's just software disabled which is why you can turn it on via CCF). You'll notice if you have a vehicle that was ordered with hotspot - if you disable the hotspot in Pivi, it'll warn you that wireless CarPlay won't work any longer.
Wireless CarPlay uses Bluetooth to exchange commands, etc. using existing BT protocols, and a closed wifi network for exchanging other data (application data, maps, streaming music as it's higher quality than BT, etc.)
That makes sense that if your phone keeps trying to join hotspots that the carrier has pre-programmed, it would cut out.

OTA update to 4.0.0 today. Had a 5+ hour road trip so perhaps that helped??

Can someone please tell me how do you connect to your home Wi-Fi or outside Wi-Fi? Just cannot seem to find the option to do so! Hoping to receive the new update to cure my problem of CarPlay, constantly disconnecting, even while plugged in via USB-C. I have tried resetting the system, deleting and re-connecting my iPhone with no joy. I am really trying to avoid a visit to the dealership! Present software version 3.3.2

UPDATED No Wifi BTW
FYI I have been notified that 3.3.3 is downloaded and ready for install twice, and did the Needful also twice (closed all windows, locked car, let it sit overnight)- to no avail. Next day start up the car and it's still sitting at 3.3.2.
This is the first time I have had any install failures. The 1st notification was like 3 weeks ago, install failed silently ie no message waiting in the AM in PiviPro; then it re downloaded it or similar 2 days ago, same result- nothing happens.
Anyone else?
(..FWIW btw none of my prior updates occurred over any Wifi connection, not sure why some keep saying that. The car HAS wifi option-- but never connected to any wifi network. All updates prior came strictly OTA and installed same way (Close all windows, lock, let it sit.)
