Apparently there are some out there that accept mediocrity and incompetence. Hope you don’t feel that way when it comes to choosing a doctor for surgery. If you accept the wrong screw to affix your door latch, would you accept a wrong screw or bolt in your oil pan or brake caliper? Incompetence is on the rise because it is accepted and is now the new ‘normal’. I prefer to keep all of my vehicles in the state that they were built and intended to be kept. If characterizing my suggestion to take it further at the dealership as extreme gives you a smile, go for it. But being a Seinfeld fan, I got a chuckle out of your backhanded response.

 

DIY is preferred.
