Default TDI ECU TUNE on v8 - anyone here have it

Hello All,

I'm a new 2023 defender Carpathian owner and am looking for an ECU tune. Does anyone have any experience with TDI and the v8 tune? Thanks all.

Nuckle linked to my original post. I’m still running the tune and do recommend it.

Only thing of mention is that TDI is pretty strict on CARB restricted states. They would not ship to California

Ehloo, did you see any gain in fuel economy? I use mine as my company vehicle so they do track my gas mileage through my fuel card. Been averaging about 15 hwy/city combined, wouldn’t want it to go lower.

The claim is better fuel economy.

wasn’t really tracking mpg. the theory is that you use less gas to get to speed limits. If you get off the gas when you hit the limits i could see better mpg.

im ripping around town and getting worse mpg

Ok, that’s a no then because I can’t keep my foot off that right pedal. Thankfully I am on the interstate a good bit to average it out. I just don’t want it to get so low they start bitching at me. I may just try it and see as it’s a pretty cheap mod.
