I just picked up a Certified Pre-owned 2020 Defender. It's showing the SOS Limited Availability warning which usually means it needs the telematics battery replaced.

Does anyone know if getting this battery replaced is covered under the CPO warranty? The vehicle's original warranty has expired.

The battery is pretty inexpensive online, but getting access to where it's located is not simple. So it'd be great if the dealer can do it under warranty.

 

They replaced mine on a 2020 CPO about 3 months ago under warranty.

 

That should 100% be covered under your CPO warranty.

 

How long have you had the vehicle and how many miles? Anything under 6 mos and I would demand it being under warranty. Depending on the Q would be where you really stood, though. Good luck!
