Thule 963PRO
Hi! The rack reseller is saying that the Thule 963PRO will not fit the Defender. I have a 2020 with stock Wrangler AT tires. Does anyone know if in fact the spare tire hitch will or will not fit?
These rack fit guides only show something fits if they have actually tried to fit it to the applicable model. Thule may not have tried this on a Defender when they did the chart, because it did not exist when this came out. So what would be the problems it could encounter, bolt pattern and spacing and how big in diameter the protrusion is and will it fit through the center hole of the rim. Suggestion may be to model the bolt pattern roughly on a piece of paper and measure the center hole. Then pop on down to REI or some similar retailer and check the mount out in person. Since it does fit on Jeeps, which have a similar, bot not exactly the same bolt pattern and similarly fat tires would make me hopeful of the fit. This type of rack is fairly generous in it range of tire mounts it fits.
