Default Tire Load Rating Question

I'm moving up a tire size to 265/60/20s.

My question is this. There are very few XL load range options. Moving to an E1 rating opens things up, but the max tire pressure on those jumps a great deal.

Has anyone made this switch, and how does that impact the TPMS system and the pressures suggested by the car?

Thanks in advance.

I stayed with 275/55/20 Falken Wildpeak AT4W in XL. Others in this thread went with E version:

Though the max pressure goes from 50 to 80 psi, I run my E rated tires at 50 while towing and at the light load pressure for normal driving about town. E rated sidewalls are significantly firmer and need that lower pressure to maintain the same comfort level you're accustomed to with those XL tires.
