For those in the US mid-Atlantic, you've got to check out the trail system in Uwharrie (https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/nfsn...78483&actid=32). We hit many of the intermediate trails and finished off with Dutch John, one of the more difficult trails. As expected, the Defender performed like a champ. Quite a few folks with really built out TJs were surprised by how well a stock Defender (with 18" wheels and 33" tires) handled the trails. Managed all of the obstacles save two of them simply because the front bumper blocks tire access to the larger ledges. Looks like I may need one of those bumpers Sarek Autowerkes offers.
It's hard to convey how steep many of these trails are. Rock sliders would be wise. If anyone out there is planning a trip, drop me a message - that's most definitely a trail system I want to get back to.
