Its unbelievable, last Monday the 24th, my dealer called telling me my CE was in and to come see it. When I arrived he said " I have something to tell you"...he then told me about the stop sale etc. I was totally bummed and prepared myself for a long wait.
4 days later, yesterday, he calls saying come pick up next Wednesday. AWESOME NEWS.

 

I have no idea what was really happening as nothing was actually done to my car that I picked up yesterday. My sales guy said that they had issued a stop on all V8s when I first reported it. Then, yesterday, they implemented some sort of system where the dealer could look up specific VINs and, when mine was input, it was clear. So nothing actually changed.

Not sure how much of any of this is what was really going on but I got my new 110 V8 now so I'm happy .

 

My fear was a software update that would affect the hp or detune to some degree.
Glad that's not the case.
