I got this warning message the other day. I had 4 wheel drive intermittently afterwards. After shutting the car off for a few hours, all was restored. Any idea what the problem could have been?

If everything got restored it could be just a glitch. If it happens again, you need to pull the codes to determine what is causing this message.

That makes sense. Very worrisome when this happens while out on the trail for the first time.
