Waving
I, and my family, wave to anyone with a Land Rover of any sort. So if you're ever in Manitoba and a white 130 passes you, you'll know it's me because I'll have a giant grin, giving you the guns. Meanwhile my 3 kids in the middle row are all jumping up and down in their seats shouting LAND ROVER, also waving at you.
My wife will be in the passenger seat, hiding with her head in her hands.
Surprisingly we have a 0% success rate of any Land Rovers waving back. Strange.

I am new to Land Rover but I wave at every defender I see. My wife thinks I am stupid but I don’t care. One day someone will wave back and it all will be worth it. So don’t stop waving it is a tradition I was told.
New to JLR and a recent Defender owner. I thought waving would be a common occurrence since it was mandatory with MINIs.
The only wave I received was from an LR3 or 4 (I don't know the models very well), as he was heading into Silverton from the Alpine Loop and I was heading out of Silverton to Alpine Loop.
No waves from another Defender driver on pavement.

You guys are tripping... lol. Most Defenders are being driven by soccer moms/dads that will very likely sue you for sexual harassment if you wave at them.
Sorry...couldn't resist.
BTW, I wave when I see another Defender and wave back.
