Wonder why some people are able to do this and others can’t. Current Waze version, pivi, and iOS, but I can’t get it to show up

 

Just updated Waze and it showed up nicely on my dash and pivi. Both in map format. Not direction listing.
im on newest Waze and pivi 4.1.4.

 

For those that are having trouble getting it to work, I deleted my Waze app and re-downloaded it, and now it is showing in my gauge cluster. Even though I previously had the most up-to-date Waze version installed it didn’t work until I deleted and reinstalled.

Tried single dial and full map but only seeing directions. No map. And when Waze isnt running, i get this little guy:

And google maps works fine.

 

I got it to work with my Apple phone. For some reason, the Waze app wasn’t automatically updating like other apps. I had to go into the App Store, search for Waze and then choose Update. Then it started to show up on the driver display.

 

This method helps me get the Waze app to show up on my gauge cluster. I don't see the turn-by-turn indicator, but maybe that's because of my outdated Pivi software.

 

Glad it works for you. I dont have turn by turn on my Pivi 4.1.4. Just direction of travel map with highlighted direction on the map.
Apple Map was also same just highlighted direction on the dash. But Waze shows all turn by turn indicator, ETA etc. on the Pivi screen while Apple didn't show any of those functional information.

 

Wile using Apple CarPlay in my Defender Waze and Apple maps can be shown on my gauge cluster...below is my software versions for the apps and defender.

2022 110 P300 S with the latest OTA software (4.3.0)

iPhone updated to 18.3.1
