Ive got Waze in my cluster showing the route and stuff but how do I make it show reports? They are the whole reason why we use Waze over PIVI maps. Without them the advantage of Waze in the gauge cluster is really diminished since I still have to refer to the centre screen for all important reports.

 

How about on the Pivi infotainment screen? both shows all usual stuff (turn by turn info, ETA, etc.) while they're on your digital cluster screen?

For anyone who has this working on Android auto, can you please say exactly which Waze version you have? I have 5.4.0.2, and I'm not getting the map display in my instrument cluster. That's the version from February 20th, which I think predates this feature being enabled. There must be a newer version rolling out to some?

 

Tried it but switched back to Pivi or Apple Maps. A couple of things bug me about Waze in the IP such as now showing upcoming instructions and it’s also slow on the instruction front too. The default Pivi nav is already pretty good and I use it 90% of the time. Good to see more apps adopting projection though.

 

Update for those interested: a newer version of Waze seems to have gotten my cluster to show the map now (Android Auto). However, the map doesn't have any info other than the highlighted route. No ETA, no distance to next turn, etc.

 

Waze update 5.5 will give indication on the IP regarding reports of police, car on the side of the road in the direction you’re going, etc. However it’s not the detailed icon you get on the center dash screen.
the indication is like a pulsing circle of the icon that’s on the center screen.
blue for police reported.
yellow for car stopped.
not sure about the red yet.
