Any time I park my Defender in the sun I get a build up of film on the inside of the windshield and side windows. Guessing it's gases coming off the interior materials in the warm sun. Tried rubbing alcohol, Windex, 3M auto glass cleaner and it still comes right back. Anybody else dealing with this and had success? Maybe I need to switch from using paper towels to a microfiber cloth as well.

 

Yeah it’s gases.

I usually use a slightly damped towel and nothing more and it works perfectly.

Absolutely hate the gases.

 

I've been using "Invisible Glass" for years with good results, both for dog drool and for the buildup you describe.

 

I use windex and a microfiber towel, it works well! No streaks or “fog”.

 

Thank you! I totally forgot about that glass cleaner. Used it many years ago with good results too.

 

A small squeegee is better than any towel or cloth for getting build-up off the inside of my windows.
