Default Windshield question...

Problem: The previous owner had a good windshield installed by someone who didn't know what they were doing. The windshield leaks and the finisher seal at the top isn't there anymore. They were careless with the cement around the bottom of the windshield too, so the cowling tabs barely fit under the glass.

Question: Since the glass is still fine, can it be removed, the mess cleaned up, and reinstalled by someone competent? Or is windshield glass often destroyed in the process of removing it?

What's to say the installed glass has the incorrect dimensions for a Disco?

@Brandon318 Yea mine was badly installed too and it is an LR windshield. Take it to a competent Glass place they should be able to remove and re-install it, at the the very least they can yes or no to that.

Ditto this. In all likelihood the glass is fine and can be removed and replaced competently. They'll be able to tell you for sure but unless the previous installer actually damaged it in some way (or it's incorrect glass) it should be fine.
