Did you install the wheel arch? If yes, difficulty level?

No I didn't install it, it came with the Explorer Pack that the dealer had installed. But the dealer had to replace them. The first set had very poor fitment and the double side tape popped loose in places. So they called Land Rover to get us a new set that fit better.

I will be installing tomorrow night will report back.
Taking the stock ones off were pretty simple.
Instructions look pretty straight forward for WAP.

I was a bit sluggish after work yesterday, I taped off the right side, front and rear wells last night that all went well (See attached pics).

I just arrived home, heating up the garage and will be laying the adhesive and snapping away
in a few (will send pics later, should be relatively easy 🙏.

You were able to purchase locally from dealer?

First step.

Second step.

I ordered these in the Country Pack and understand that the dealership will install them (as well as the mud flaps) when the Defender arrives in February. I'm not 100% sold on the look, however, and none that I've seen have had them so I haven't had a chance to really evaluate in person. Do they add considerable width to the wheel arches? Or are they fairly flush against the painted surfaces? If they push the arches out, are people finding that they want to bump the wheels out a titch too? IMO, there's a fine line between rugged/functional and too plastic-y and I can't quite decide on which side these fall.

thanks
Nate

finished right side in a

1/2 hour between waiting for cleaner and the adhesive to take affect. Now onto the left side.

Very easy, just take your time and don’t forget the light connections. The adhesive has a pretty strong hold.

The photos look great, ebarry, thank you. They do look very flush against the painted surfaces (continuing the slope of the fender, rather than tacked-on) and have the visual effect of enlarging the wheel well; all positive points.
