Default Wheels/Brakes Squealing

My 2024 Defender 110 Carpathian Edition keeps having wheel squeals at low speeds (up to 10 mph). Originally, it also squealed when I applied light-brake pressure, so I went ahead and replaced all the pads at 8,000 miles, which solved the light-braking squeal issue. But now, when the car is moving at lower speeds (and not braking), I'm still experiencing a squealing sound from the front 2 wheels. The dealer said it had something to do with the Brembo brakes and there was no real fix for it. They applied some anti-squeal application but that didn't help.

Has anyone else experienced a similar issue and/or know a solution? At this time, I'm assuming it's the rotors, but the car only has about 8,500 miles on it.

Thank you,

Cast iron rotors and agressive pads are prone to break squeal. Notorious problem with high performance cars. Here is a great video from Porsche (Brembo) that explanes the technical aspect for brake squeal and why it happens. Dealer is correct.

Confirm this happens on my V8 and was advised the same at the dealer. I have learned to ignore it as it’s quite subtle.

I ran into a similar situation on 2 RRS L494's (a v8 supercharged w/ brembos and and SVR with brembos) in the past. The squealing was just as you described, when moving slowly, not when braking. Light brake pressure would make it go away.

In both cases, dealers replaced pads, rotors, even calipers they thought were dragging. Issue always came back. Eventually I realized it was just something to tolerate. Guessing it's the same thing here.

BTW on both of mine, it happened after the first pad / rotor change (around 10-15K miles). Not when new.

I have this problem at low speeds and also sounds like it’s coming from the front. 1,100 miles.

When braking I expect the squeaking… I did not expect it when not braking. I was worried something was wearing out sooner than it was supposed to, or catching or rubbing or whatever. I also assumed it would go away with miles driven.

I am glad that I am not alone!

Edit: I have 2024 110 X-Dynamic SE. I don’t think it has brembos.
