Default Where do you get your parts?

Hello there from outside my warranty.

I’m curious where folks around here get there parts, particularly maintenance and consumables in the US. Currently I am looking to replace the front rotors due to some pulsation stemming from pad transfer but there’s a lot of sites out there and want to stay OEM quality or better. Thought I would ask around here and see what go-to places folks had.

  • For genuine parts - Landleaping.com is awesome (it’s actually the LR dealer in Portland’s online parts shop - the dealer is crap, but their prices, shipping and service is pretty good I think).
  • For aftermarket alternatives - Roverparts (Atlantic British) - very LR centric and they have started offering more L663 Defender stuff in the past year. Careful though, figuring out which brake rotors size you actually have is a riddle wrapped in a sphinx.
  • FCP Euro is great for both as well -- and they have a lifetime parts warranty (that I have never cashed in) -- but for example, I broke a rear shock offroading. It occurred to me maybe I buy it from them, because if I break it again, they’ll warranty it (maybe? )
  • I also order from Rovers North a good bit and they have a mix.

Those would be my top top.

See above but also Lucky8 is good because they modify their Defenders and will have both some "genuine" parts as well as for modifications such as fitting 18" wheels to the P400, as an example.

Nothing to add that Nash has already listed. I have used FCP Euro for years and they did warranty me a faulty coil pack on my Daughter's Volvo S60 I installed a few years ago.

*I haven't been on Atlantic British website since my D2 days. Didn't know they started stocking L663 parts.

Landleaping.com is really great for vdiscounted pricing for LR OEM parts and good with responding any question you have (I didn't know they're dealership store, thanks for the info).

Lucky8 is good for only aftermarket parts in my opinion. Their OEM part prices are high (or no saving from purchasing it from the local Dealership).
But I do use their DIY instruction videos a lot.

FCP Euro, I only used for Porsche parts. Very reliable source for OEM. But for anyone DIY oil changers, they have lifetime warranty which you can send old oils and filters (that you purchased from them) back to get new ones.

Huntersprestige.com and PowerfulUK.com are also great sources for parts and DIY videos but their shipping costs are really high since they both ship from UK.

FCP has good deals on transmission fluid and pans
Landleaping for an array of parts. Brake pads and associated hardware most recently. Also they were very helpful in getting the correct oils for the front diff, t-case and rear diff.
Amazon/FCP is good for filters, oil, air, cabin
Walmart is now my oil source
ebay for mint used headlights and other used parts like a radiator and bash plates

I get my OEM coolant from Napa
