I got the same email and it says my subscription expires next month however, if you look at subscription in your app the expiration date is not until 2025. I think someone got the email addresses and it's a phishing scam as my price is $165.

Pretty sure this is a scam.

Got the same email in Canada today for $235.
I did call Land Rover Canada and they have confirmed that the mail was from them.
When you click on the link supplied in the email, you are redirected to a shop page on the incontrol website.
The last digits of your VIN are listed on that page too.

if it’s a scam… bravo

yeah, it's JLR according to AmEx. but it seems they sent these out a bit prematurely for most since many plans don't expire for a year.

I received this email today from "lradvice@landroverincontrolshop.com". Called LR customer care and they did confirm it's from them. And they did confirm it's $500 for the year.

Also I did request that they log my feedback and have a word with whoever made this pricing decision to evaluate why they arrived at the $500 number. It's 2x what it should be, in my opinion. For $250, fine. For $500, the value just isn't there.

PS the rep also confirmed that if I don't do it, it's just the wifi hotspot in the car, and my app that lets me do remote starts, unlock the car will continue working for the duration of the 4 year warranty period. So at least they were knowledgeable and up to speed on things.

Got the same e-mail today and it's $160 for one year for the data pack. Not sure it's worth the cost as I never had the "hotspot" on either Defender and dealer was unable to rectify that issue with neither vehicle. I think the InControl app is worth the money just for the locator and stolen vehicle features. Online Pack with Data Plan (12 Months)

I got the same email too and the price I was offered is $160 as well. I looked at what the Online Pack offers and I don't use any of the music services and never used the calendar to navigate to any destination so declined the renewal. Your subscription includes:

OK after reading this more carefully, I think it's like this:

Online Pack + Data Plan = 160
Online Pack + Data Plan & Wifi Enabled (aka the Hotspot) = 500

No idea. I saw some in the UK for 225 pounds which is about 50% higher than my quote. Did yours include the InControl remote app or other subscriptions? I really dislike the subscription thing when you buy a top line vehicle, but many makers are doing the same thing.
