Default Wipers too Long?

I have run into a bit of a conundrum as the wipers on our pre-owned 2022 Defender 110 seem to be too long and measure 23" and rest below the A-pillar trim when wipers are parked. (image shows wiper Right side on top off A-pillar to show over lap)

We didn't know if the previous owners installed the incorrect wipers so we purchased what we were told is the correct wipers for our model:

These are the same length (23" long). I'm not finding anything showing a 22" option for the 2022 Defender.

LR162053 are indeed the correct blades for the Defender. Also, they are the only blades that seem to work. I've tried numerous aftermarket blades, and while they all have the right connectors, the wiper arm itself is a little long, which prevents the blades from snapping in.

Maybe its possible the wiper arms are parked at the incorrect angle? I don't have a good photo showing how the wipers are supposed to be parked.

Its possible, but unlikely. The picture you posted is clearly in the standard wiper park mode, and not the winter mode. The wipers may have been removed for a windshield replacement, and not put pack correctly. That's the only reason that I can think of to why they don't fit.

The wipers park on the windshield, not down there, so someone probably removed the cowl and the wiper arms, and then when they put the wiper arms back onto the spindles / shafts they go on, put them on incorrectly adjusted -- and by that I mean, they were rotated counterclockwise a bit too far. It's easy to do.

It does look a bit too long anyway -- weird -- but I bet it is an orientation issue, not a blade length issue if in fact you have the genuine LR wiper blades.

I would 100% have a dealer fix this if you are not mechanical: If you don't know what you are doing, it is a bit of a pain to remove the wiper arms from the spindles (it is easy, but you can have trouble, they are frozen on the spindle, need to use a puller, can break the windshield hammering on the shaft, etc).

I've had the arms off before and in order for the tip of the wiper to not come into contact with the A pillar, I clocked it clockwise but it looks like its at a wierd angle; like 20 degrees...

Hmm. Wrong wiper arms for the vehicle? Maybe off a Sport, Full-size Rover or Discovery 5 then? It just does not make sense... super odd.

Does anybody have a good picture of the position of their wipers relative to the edge of their hood (wipers parked)?
