Default 2022 Hill Country Rover Rally:

This October 14-16th at Hidden Falls Adventure Park near Marble Falls, TX will be the 8th annual event. There will be free swag (when you register), free food, a raffle, and they're giving away a Range Rover Classic this year all for a great cause. There will be guided trail rides during the day or you can choose to wheel by yourself or with your group of friends. So if you're free and want to wheel your LR for the first time, or are a seasoned off roader and you just want to do some wheeling then come on out. There is primitive camping, sites for RV's and campers with hook ups, or plenty of hotels in the area depending on what you'd like to do. Friday & Saturday night you can also go on a night ride, but you must be off the trails and back at camp by midnight.

This years raffle will be for a highly modified 87 Range Rover

Throwing out a few questions late to the game. Hope that’s okay : )

I’ve been to HF a handful of times and only ever done the park roads and 1s and 2s with my Landcruisers.

How does the group go through the park? Are you stuck in a line/group? Can you divert off if you don’t wanna push things?

just curious how that worked. Thinking about getting involved the next go around.

My skills are one up from novice I’d say : )

Looking forward to doing this in ‘23. It’s only 45 mins from my house!

We usually have 2-3 groups and go from stock/beginner, and then modified/experienced, and we always place experienced spotters at the truly technical bits. There are also bypasses along the trails in case you don't feel comfortable with the obstacle. You can always break off and either head back to Pavilion B (where the event meals are held, and the raffle) or do your own thing. Saturday before the main dinner/raffle everyone is invited to the Tower for a photo and video. It can be a bit hectic getting the entire group up there, but once that's done (usually 30min at the Tower) we head back for dinner, and the raffles (kids, main raffle, and then finally the vehicle giveaway). It's a great event, and hopefully this year it won't be as dry and the burn ban will be lifted. If you have any other questions feel free to post them here or PM me.
