Sandy Beach, Snowy Wilderness, and Jurassic Park. In the SAME DAY!.
We set out for some Rover adventure and managed to drive the snowy high mountains of the Kalmiopsis Wilderness, the sandy beach of Tolawa Dunes State Park, and Jurassic Park (aka Redwood National Park), all in a single Sunday. 215 Miles total. 15 mpg for the trip.
Driving in the sand was very unnerving. It sucked all the power away and felt like it was going to get me stuck every inch. That's with 255/70 too. I was relieved to get out of it after the fun wore off and with the tide coming in.
