Default Weekend in Fort Montgomery NY - trails?

I'll be driving up to Fort Montgomery, NY this weekend to spend some much "unplugged" time with my family. Although we intend to spend most of the time kicking our feet up at the cabin, I'd love to know if there is an easy/beginner's trail I can take the fam through. My DII is starting to complain about all the smooth pavement around my town...

So, even if it's just gravel roads or whatever, let me know so that I can take a little detour. I think they and my Rover will enjoy it.

Thanks.

I should have said near Bear Mountain (didn't realize how close it was.) However, just returned from a weekend there and didn't find any off-road trails; Plenty of hiking trails though! And the paved drive up to the top of the mountain was spectacular (all 2nd and 3rd gear.) But no truck trails.

Good to know! A good brunch is always a great way to begin wrapping up a weekend.

My wife and I are thinking of doing one of the upcoming Okoberfest weekends there.

Really? Man, that's a downer. is it worse than say the FDR or Cross Bronx or Midtown Manhattan? I might venture it for good beer.
