whats required to run 35's on 00 disco?
what lift size and other mods (removal of bump stops, flaps, trim pieces etc. are needed to comfortable run 35 mud tires on these things? and any other supporting mods (ie. stab link, relocators etc)
More then the truck is worth.
5" lift
new correcting radius arms
Some steering components
Rear drive shaft
new HD 24 spline HD axles
lockers
gears
wheel spacers and some triming
Call it $5000 and up.
So the big question is why????????

dont bother... you should come out to one of our outings and test your truck as is. well maybe get the three amigos solved then come. do you have the cdl on your truck? do you why you have the 3 amigos?
I'm running 33's x 1250's, I have 2'' spacer lift in front, and I modified the rods in rear to gain 1'' of lift in rear (my personal choice for my stance).... Also the main mod to get the wheels to fit offhand was cutting the fenders 4 inches or so and cleaning up some of the sharp edges in front wheelwells.... I get very little if any rub when fully articulated and wheels fully turned... In the future i'd like to go up to 35's but for now disco mike is right, it can get expensive real quick unless you get your rig ready a little at a time as I'm trying to do....
My verdict as far as fitment of 35's, DO IT... But for what I would do, is get rid of my spacers and go for a firm 3'' lift and put my spacer lift and modified rods on the rear to gain a firm 3'' in rear as well... My truck has Advanced Cornering Enhancement (ACE), so I won't lift it more than 3 inches without risking driveability issues.... But I don't plan on 35's till I get new gears & Lockers.... For now its a beast with just the 33's, MPG is disgustingly low already at 10-12 mpg @ absolute best... with my non calibrated speedo & odo, I get just over 200 miles a tank,
Bottom Line: "Don't do it unless you can afford the gas...!!!"

BHAF - big honkin air filter lol...
I have a CDL but I haven't installed it yet, right now its almost back to 100%, another day or so before its done. Had to have a few of the spark plug wells sleaved, along with new headgaskets, waterpump, thermo, temp sensor, MAF, yadda yadda. and new shuttle valve just for kicks. not sure what the three amigos is for, havent come across anyone willing to rent out thier abs amigo yet.
i dont have ACE or airbags so i'm good on that front, but id like to get started on suspension/brakes/tires probably for the winter.
dont get my wrong, its for looks and trails for now, i cant afford to take it crawling or over obstacles and risk breaking something major just yet haha until i get myself a beater... i just finished rebuilding my motorcycle (was totalled about a month ago when a nice lady decided a stop sign didnt apply to her) but id still like to have a second vehicle thats more comfy in summer rain/thunderstorms incase i need more then a week downtime to repair the disco. 33's look very good though, that should suffice if all it requires are simple mods, i was just curious if i should bother grabbin the rubber while i could now, ill see if he has any other sizes but i think all he had were 35s? i was planning 2.5" kit, and im still debating to remove the lower part of the bumper, not sure if it would look clean with the brushguard on mine. i do love the open front look, and obviously it has its advantages for entry angle, but with the bar i dont think theres be much clearance gained without going aftermarket to replace it which isnt in the budget just yet haha with all else to do!
haha I get that miliage now lol... but i also have/had a good bit of bugs to chase, hopefully they are all resolved, ill find out in the next day or so, and maybe ill see decent miliage finally! i get nearly 40mpg on my 1200 if i baby it
ps. do you have catback on that? somes meatier to me for some reason in that video lol
