Default Finally so more progress

After a crazy couple months and the SCARR rally I was able to get back on this…had to add some wood to the bottom near the rear so I could bolt the rack down

then added some supports because I need to be able to put weight on top

Got it looking good but waiting on a hinge and some other stuff

now getting back on the tailgate sub

I dremel off the end caps from the oem panel and they half to fit over the plywood flush. So I got that done.
but also, in the last pic…you see there is a piece that has to be trimmed off

Ok to make the rear tailgate top trim sit flush, I had to cut out the center screw mounts from the trim…but look how pretty it fits…

I’ve taken this amp rack out several times in this process and will probably have to again but for now, let’s start wiring it up to get some tuning done etc

Update

got everything together and started the tune

For beginners, I don’t recommend the Minidsp. It’s got quite a bit of learning curve and the Dirac live is hard to calibrate unless you have a dead silent area to use

I found that if you are bypassing the factory amp like I did, you don’t need the Most adapter. I can explain this more if someone asks me too. I’m going to edit the first post to update.

Things I still have to do:
pretty up the sub mounting and fix rattles lol
add my other sub box and do a tune for those
find oem style grills for the front speakers
