forget it. the stock sub wiring isn't in my dash and the amp isn't getting power. i'm gonna pick up a cheap amp and wire it up right.

finished product. VERY happy with this setup. got the subs for christmas, and the amp was $49 bucks. I've paid for higher end stuff before, but this is good enough. These things hit HARD with this amp, its 250W RMS x 1 @ 4 ohms. I'm running it at 2 ohms (two 4 ohm speakers wired in series), the amp is 2 ohm stable. Next step is to take the hatch apart and put peel and seal over it to insulate it... the thing sure does rattle now. the amp barely fits under the driver's seat on the shelf thing for the factory cd changer.
