Defender Audio Wiring Harness

Default Defender Audio Wiring Harness

I've searched high and low on google and this forum's search engine, but I have been unable to find a wiring harness adapter for the LR Defender.

I have a 1997 model, and the radio has finally blown.

Having installed numerous head units in other vehicles, I bought a decent Pioneer, and was planning on buying a wiring harness that would nicely plug into the Defender's wires.

But I don't think it exists.

As much as I can tell, the wiring plug that exists is the car is ISO. However it is not the standard 16 pin ISO connector. It looks to be like the standard 16 pin with an additional 10 pin portion above it.

My searches for 26 pin ISO head unit adapters are turning up nothing.

I was wondering what other Defender owners have done in this situation. Surely I am not the first person to install a head unit into a Defender, without having to hack into the car's wires.
