Standard trailer axle so I guess that would be possible

This is what you need to start with - Surplus 2010 Fermont MEP-802A 5kW Gen Set in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, United States (GovPlanet Item #1186435)

You could off the generator to offset costs of trailer and needed items to make your Hilton on Wheels.

thought about a military trailer and if I did one of those it would likely be a m1101 and I would hard shell it.

To be honest though I want to keep the weight and footprint down if I can. Coming back from Christmas with the trailer we had little to no impact on fuel economy. I think that is partially because it doesn't stick out from behind the LR3

M1101? Your wife would kill you! Where the heck are ya gonna store that? I told you you should've moved further out into the sticks, you need property and a barn. That's a bit bigger than I had in mind. I tossed up a platform quick but if you don't mind hauling the whole Resort behind ya then who am I? Field Kitchen anyone?

If this "little" trailer gets much bigger I am not sure where I'm going to keep it. My original plan was to store it under the deck in the back yard. Now I don't think that will work as I don't think it will make it between the support beams any longer.

Doing the math I am going to need to add about 8" in width to clear the LR3 rims on the trailer. The bonus I get from the additional width is increased storage in the side boxes.

Waiting to hear back from redneck trailer, luckily they have a shop a couple hours from my house.

Work is going to be a bit slow as I need to do a bunch of work to the LR3 first to get it ready from Romp!

Thinking marine grade plywood for the floor of the trailer though. 3/4" I think will be enough for the loads it will see.

Yep, this is a classic case of “requirements creep”. It’ll drain the wallet every time.

BTW, the closest RNTS to you is 5 minutes from me. Let me know if I can help in any way.

I appreciate the offer, when I'm in the area, I'll buy you a beer!

Does your neighborhood have convents against parking rec vehicles in sight?

No but the driveway is fairly full of Land Rovers and I would prefer it under cover.

Also I don't want to hear about the trailer in the driveway everyday from SWMBO

You may just need a better SWMBO filter that won't break the bank. I'm working on one now and looking for investors if interested.
