Enjoyed the story about your 67. It was my first car, too. Bought it when I was 15, but never got it road worthy and sold it to buy a 68 Chevelle.

Like how yours is coming along. Looks good with the ralley rims!

Brian.

I am enjoying reading your build thread - it's pretty cool that you were able to locate your first vehicle and now restore it. You seem pretty organized too with your flat washers tub there lol.. if only I was that meticulous. I'll be thoroughly impressed if you say that you have a matching one that says 'cupped washers'.

Color looks great!

For some reason I never got the earlier emails about all the fun you're having Tom (and Army's comment - SUCKA!). I never knew how much I used it, never thought anything of it until I shagged it. I've been off work since Jan. 12th and won't be returning until March 27th. Still cannot do too much on it other than walk and even that sucks, tired of pain. The Doc assured me it's gonna get better, takes a long time.

The Bird is look'n clean, that's a ton of work you're doing. I helped a guy restore 60's Stangs and the entire back end would get hacked off first thing. I met him because I had my 70 C10 Stepside up for sale and he was looking for a hot rod build. I talked him out of it, sold it to a buddy of his. Anyways, chopping up a vehicle and then lining it back up with fresh is a lot of work. Not having a knee, I can't even imagine........ I whacked four wheel studs out on a Saturn (broke one so did all four) and had a helluva time doing it and paying for it the next day.

I'm surprised you can find so many re-popped panels for a 67. Not like it's a Camaro, which were much more common and parts are readily available nowadays. And in my opinion...makes the Firebird so much more unique. Are those Sherman panels? Cars looking great, but you can sure see the fitment issues/challenges involved with aftermarket panels.

Keep up the good work.

Brian.
